For 29 years, I was surrounded by Persian culture and the vibrant streets of my hometown, Tehran. When in 2013 life took me on a new adventure to the United States, Fashion Design became my new challenge. But it wasn’t until I took a course to learn how to design my own fabric that I really dared to dream big. So I put a pause on fashion and dove into surface design.

As I became a mom, I discovered the power of merging my creative side with my entrepreneurial spirit. Then, Crisp Olive™ was born. Each one of my designs, illustrations, and patterns encapsulates my journey—a fusion of my Persian roots and the unlimited possibilities of my new home. I think you can easily trace my dual experiences in my design aesthetics through clashes of tradition and modernity and other contradictory concepts.
