10 tips on how to shop for Mother's Day - a gifting guide for your hard-to-impress mother-in-law
All my stylish in town, hi!
If you are anything like me, it’s either hard or harder to impress your mother-in-law. She’s that stylish one whose love language is gift-giving.
The one who always manages to give thoughtful presents in gorgeously-wrapped boxes. Meanwhile, I am googling how to tie a bow! For whatever reason I just can’t get a bow to look as effortlessly fancy as my mother-in-law does. Some skills are hard to master I guess.

A sip of tea… ok, where were we? Yes, the art of impressing your hard-to-impress mother-in-law.
The secret is there is no proven formula my stylish friend. But I can give you what has helped me somehow conquere this Everest in style ;)
Here are my 10 tips, suggestions and advice for a Mother’s Day gift that will impress your Mother-in-law:
Start the thinking process way in advance, it doesn’t need to be hours of pondering, little pockets of time work wonders.
Pay attention to what could be a need, a must-have she does not know about in daily conversations or gatherings. There is also that Mother’s Day gift that ALWAYS impresses even the hardest-to-please-mother-in-laws. A good silk scarf!
If she loves browsing on her phone, phone accessories are a fabulous thoughtful gift, always in style and extremely helpful. A good phone case or phone grip will protect her phone from cracking through numerous drops.

Let the magic of uncommon goods, anthropologie, ladoublej, casparistyle and scully and scully type stores take you on a shopping fantasy.
Scout local stores and specialty boutiques. They offer hand-picked and thoughtful collections. You’ll help the local economy and most probably a female-owned small business. If you live in Perrysburg, OH don’t forget Gather, Alice Lousie Press, Sheffiled Road, Madison Paul and Fiddle Stix Boutique, who offer great Mother’s Day collections.
